The EU as the platform for platforms
The EU as the platform for platforms
The first state for states to emerge out of this prehistoric soup, hundreds of thousands of years after humans formed states for themselves, was formed in the 1950s. The EU is an informational superstructure where states can live a meaningful life—it is the information platform for the information platforms that are states, and a precursor of things to come. (Mutatis mutandis, the same as for humans, see §07.00.03: each (humans and states alike) having no specific purpose, the conditions necessary for the fulfilment of any purpose are in place.)
